Quantitative Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong quantitative skills to join our team as a Quantitative Analyst. Qualifications and Requirements

As a candidate, we expect that you:

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics‑economics, economics, statistics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
  • Have strong quantitative and analytical skills to interpret complex data and translate it into well‑founded trading insights.
  • Are proficient in Python and comfortable with coding. Experience with other code languages is considered an advantage.
  • Have a strong interest in financial and energy markets and a desire to deepen your understanding of power‑market dynamics.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem‑solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, presenting technical and analytical concepts in a way that is easy for both technical and non‑technical team members to understand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth, datadriven analysis of power markets including supply and demand fundamentals, regulatory developments, weatherdriven patterns, and geopolitical impacts to uncover actionable trading opportunities and support strategic decisionmaking.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust risk management practices by monitoring position limits, conducting stress testing, and assessing exposure to volatile market conditions to ensure controlled and compliant trading activities.
  • Tool Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize a range of analytical, realtime monitoring, and reporting tools that enhance trading decisionmaking and operational efficiency. Build automated dashboards and data pipelines to produce accurate, timely reports on trading performance, risk metrics, and key market trends.
  • Model Development: Continuously improve trading models through back testing and marketdriven data analysis to strengthen and support profitable trading decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to enhance trading strategies and technical setup, ensuring clear and consistent communication across all team members.
  • Trading Application: Apply insights from analysis, modelling and risk assessment to confidently support and execute wellfounded trading decisions that meet all required risk, compliance, and performance standards.
